Skateboarding is an activity I’ve always been involved in since the day I picked up my first skateboard. The culture of skateboarding consumed my life at very young age. The best part is creativity and outside thinking is embedded into the culture and never looked down upon. However, there is one part of the skateboarding that gets often over looked by most people that aren’t truly involved with skateboarding, which is setting up your skateboard.
Putting together my skateboard is a therapeutic experience to me. I will always turn down the offer from the guys at Jeric’s Skateshop to grip my board for me. In my opinion applying the grip tape to a new board is the best part, besides of course actually skating it. It’s hard to explain to people the feeling of setting up a new board. So I created this video to help share this therapeutic experience I have.
